According to yoga, certain body postures put people in certain states of the mind.
This is kind of like body language, only organized.

Picture someone sitting on a chair, his feet barely touching the ground, his spine slightly curved, his face pointing down, eyes looking to his lap-
this is the posture of depression.
In this posture, you are in your mind, and your mind goes on spinning around certain problems.
You are filled with doubt and fear in this position. You have no trust in life. You don't understand the universe or your own existence in this posture. Anything that is not proven by science makes no sense.
Your thoughts are spinning around the problem, and if the problem is solved, somehow it always results in a bigger one.
In this position, you do not even feel the earth under your feet, it is not important to you, all you feel is the problem, the expanding tumor, the ongoing dilemmas and wars inside.

Now imagine a desk in front of the person.
Place his arms on the desk and place a book in front of his eyes.
Now he no longer has to focus on his own problems, the problems are made for him, written and placed in front of his eyes.

Now imagine millions of thousands of people, sitting like this, their minds doubting and worrying, creating problems and solutions and bigger problems.
Some of them are only five years old and they have maybe sixty years left.
Eight hours a day, five hours a week, or even more.
This is how society wants you to be.

When the human mind is depressed, it has it's own ideas of reality, cause when you are not in touch with reality, at least you need to make some ideas about what reality might be and how it may work.

No wonder we are "sending more troops to create more peace".
Or spending more money to save the environment.
Or working harder so we can have more time off later.

The human mind is nothing but pure nonsense.
Bullshit resulting in more bullshit resulting in more bullshit.
Any other monkey would understand that troops will never create any peace, and money will never save the environment, and your job will never give you more time off.
